Will you be purchasing Duke Nukem Forever when it comes out?
Duke Nukem Forever
The epitome of vaporware is finally coming out this May! In fact, the demo version of Duke Nukem Forever is already out for any owners of Borderlands. This is the immediate sequel to the 1996 hit FPS title Duke Nukem 3D. Now I am personally excited about it and would love to get a copy of it, but I wonder if my computer can support it. Will it meet the minimum system requirements? I'm not sure, I have yet to find the system specs on it. But, what do you all think, is this game on your wish list?
Re: Duke Nukem Forever
I had a chance to look at the official trailer for DNF. Check it out guys.

Re: Duke Nukem Forever
Duke Nukem Forever is out!! It was released in Australia yesterday. It can now be picked up in Europe and Japan today. America still has to wait four more days to get their hands on it, so I gotta wait two days past my bday to get it but I'm not gonna miss this one.
Re: Duke Nukem Forever
Been a while but just to let you guys know, I bought the game as soon as it came out here in America. Most reviews over here gave the game negative ratings. "Fail to the King" they say. "Should have never been released" they say. Well I for one am glad that I did not listen to the reviews. Personally, I love this game. It is something of a throwback for me to old school FPS games like DN3D, and I thought it was a good balance between easy levels and challenging areas. Actually, for a modern title, I think it is pretty good. This is just my opinion, though, and I think it's pretty obvious it's not the popular opinion regarding the game.
Beat the game a long time ago and have all 50 achievements unlocked, though multiplayer is experiencing its own problems. Have not yet tried it, but from what I hear there is not much to try. Not too many people are sticking around in DNF MP. And I do know for a fact that there is no current AI support in MP mode. Something of a bummer because there is a separate set of challenges and awards for achieving certain actions in MP, and I wanna try for those next.
My advice to anyone, whether they read the reviews or not, is to get a free copy of the demo and at least try it out. If you are impressed then I say yes, it is worth buying. If you're not thrilled with it, then by all means don't buy it, but at least be fair to it and give it a try anyway. Make sure your system can support the game though. Don't want LA Meltdown to become Motherboard Meltdown do we? To download the demo, click here.
