New Site!
As all of you are probably aware by now, the previous website at www.mcnutty.com has been down for a while now. I won't go into too many details, but to say that it became easier to begin again from scratch, and build a new site for the McN clan. After being given permission from Kaboem, since he had access to the previous domain, I began work on our new site. Work began two days ago, actually you could say it started very early, around midnight on Saturday, my time. First, I completed all the graphics, and then got to work writing the pages.
Once the pages were all assembled I tested them. After determining that everything is working as they should, I uploaded the files to a new domain, and now McNutty has a new website. Please copy/paste this URL and bookmark.
http://mcn.orgfree.com
I chose to upload the site to T35 for several reasons. For one thing, I found myself unable to access the mcnutty.com domain and upload my files there, and we have not yet resolved that issue. For two, T35 is a free provider, so I don't have to be billed every month to maintain our site. It also provides unlimited storage space (even though every file I add can be no more than 1 Mb big which is plenty) as well as unlimited bandwidth. A third point is that T35 is where I am hosting the FTO clan site for Serious Sam, and it has worked well so far. On some of the pages, I reused some of my own points that I posted earlier on this forum. Look at the Rules and Join pages as examples.
I have pages up to show active clan members, file downloads for the games, links to other sites, and our game servers. If anyone has any such content that they would like to have added please let me know. I'm especially interested to know if there are other clan sites that you think we should link to, or did in the past before the last site went down. For the active members list, that pretty much says it all, active members. I decided not to create an Honor Roll list of former members, because it's no longer easy to keep track of everyone. We have literally had dozens of members throughout our eight years.
Depending on what browser you are using, you may be asked to allow certain scripts to be run. Please do so, as I used scripts to create a rollover effect on the buttons in the navigation bar. When the mouse cursor hovers over a button, it will light up. There's also a pattern regarding the first eight buttons, the order of those colors corresponds to the order of the text colors in Q3A. Just an amusing fact for y'all.
That's pretty much it for now. Again please check the site out and tell me what you think. If you have any ideas for how I can improve it, tell me and I will consider it. I can't make any promises though. This URL may actually be just temporary, if we can find out how to fix the issue with the mcnutty.com domain and get into that.

Re: New Site!
Update Released:
The site now includes a background image. This image remains stationary as the user scrolls through a page's content. The image compliments the overall color scheme of the site, and if a user is somehow unable to load the background image, a background color will still appear that goes with the site's color palette.
This new background image has been tested in Internet Explorer and Google Chrome, and there were no apparent issues. For me, the image seemed a little stretched at first, but that is because I am working on a widescreen.

Re: New Site!
Bad news fellas. T35 has announced that they are discontinuing free hosting. If you try to go to our site now, you will be redirected. The good news is that they are keeping FTP up for a while so I can recover the pages and relocate them at a new URL. But, part of the problem is trying to find a new provider, one that will grant me unlimited bandwidth for free. So we're not entirely back to square one, but this is a major hurdle. I will download the pages and then figure out where to stick them now.
T35 says that too many users have abused the service, which led to their decision. So unfortunate, but like I said, I will come up with something else.

Re: New Site!
I am glad you like the site. It took me a little while to form and of course I would prefer to be hosting it right now at our old mcnutty.com domain. It is only bc Kab and I couldn't figure out how to get back into it that I am on a free service instead. I am pleased with how the site turned out. Of course there is a counter at the bottom of the homepage that shows how many times that page is viewed, neat little toy.

Would be nice to resurrect not only old domain MCNUTTY.COM but all material from forum. All the same, we have clanpage and its much better than nothing. Good beginning. Well done.

Re: New Site!
The bad news there is that none of the old material from Bones' site could be salvaged , which is why we were forced to start from scratch. Still I think this new one came out looking pretty nice.
Re: New Site!
Hi Quakr! You did a great thorough job on the site there, nice one!
Yes, it's been impossible to reach Bones, who (maybe) has/had a complete backup of the site and/or its database. The old site was built with PHPNuke, and probably because of using an older version, it had been hacked by a scriptkiddie or a bot. Not Bones' fault though. Shit happens!
The domain however is still owned by Kaboem (he still pays for it) and we could just reupload the site you made to that hoster! How's that sound?

Re: New Site!
Squito!! Hey man!
Yes we can still move this site over to the mcnutty.com domain. If you are able to get in there I can send you the files for the site. Then you guys will be able to update it as needed. I will need to make a few more tweaks though before sending the files.

Re: New Site!
I'm sure Kabs won't mind if you can access the FTP as well. Kaaabs? (he should be here somewhere..)

Re: New Site!
He hasn't been on much if at all for a while now. No he doesn't mind in fact he already provided me with the login info but it wasn't working for me, so I hope you are having better success with it. Perhaps you can PM and confirm the info.
Re: New Site!
Hey Adam, is there storage limit on our site? I would be nice to have screensbots section. I have plenty of screenies from McN clanfights in E+ and also some old ones (2004) from games vs FM,Evil,DFE or EN.

Re: New Site!
I don't think there is a storage limit on this forum, if that's what you mean by site. So feel free to post all the screens u have.
Re: New Site!
