Mild Winter

Post by [McN]The_QuakR on Sun Feb 12, 2012 8:04 pm

I don't know about everyone else, but here in Michigan it has been a comparatively mild winter up to this point. We have had very few winter storms here, of course which ones we have had so far did wreak havoc, but for the large part we have had 40 degree (Fahrenheit) weather, lots of sun, and not so much snowfall. We did get almost a foot accumulation the past couple days, but this has been absolutely an abnormal winter season for my area. What about the rest of you? I know areas in Europe have been getting hit hard this year, but hopefully everyone is safe and okay so far? Anyone having it as mild as I am?

Well I'm glad the weather is getting a little warmer for you. Cold snaps are one of the worst parts of the winter season.

Been a walk in the park in my neck of the woods. We had 2 sorta big snowfalls (one this weekend). I haven't even fired up the snow blower. I love global warming!!!

lol Keeper. My father would not argue with you. Very Happy

Of course, Ohio is just across the border from Michigan, so I expect we would be experiencing similar weather. Right now it is sunny where I am and 31 on the Fahrenheit scale. I think it may get even warmer tomorrow.

Mild winter? LOL Smile
Firstly we have -20...-11 degree of celsium. It was week ago. Now we have +5 degree. Bad conditions for people with weak health with unstable blood pressure.

I know that some areas of the world have had severe weather this winter. Know though that it has not been the case for my area at all. As I speak the sun is out right now and there is little cloud cover at all, and all the snow on the ground is melting off. That has been a recurring trend here all season.

In contrast, the northeastern part of the States was getting slammed very early by snow squalls and nor'easter.
