I'd call it a landslide actually. The other two choices received one vote apiece and I assure you I did NOT vote for my own design. So thx to whoever voted for my submission, for all the good it did.

Congratulations to Mag and AnT. Beginning tonight, in just a few minutes in fact, that banner will be the new one for this forum.

I voted for Quakr's design because I like the bright colours and setup.
But your design is nice too and gives a feel of the chaos we encounter on the server well.

I voted for Bones because im just so used to this one

Peeps I have an idea/suggestion;
How about we have themed banners?
By this I mean a normal one, a Christmas one and an Easter one.

And how about one for McNutty birthday? (9 years old and still going strong or some other text in it).

That sounds like an excellent idea. Anyone who has ideas for such banners can feel free to work on them and perhaps we can put them up when the occasions come. Of course, we are very close now to the clan's 9th birthday and I am so looking forward to it. Nine years, can ya believe it!

Quakr, does "imageshack.us" allow animated gif-files to be uploaded and downloaded?
Would be nice to have snowflakes slowly falling on the Christmas banner.
Is there also a possibility to have our own siteicon.ico?

I can check real quickly. I do have an account at Imageshack so I will see. Honestly I don't see why it would not accept the three main image formats, JPG GIF and PNG, but it won't hurt to double check.

I can also incorporate animated GIFs onto our main site too.

Yes, Imageshack allows JPG, PNG, GIF and ICO images.

Ah, that is good news indeed!
So we can have an animated Christmas-banner with snowflakes etc for Christmas.
An icon.ico can be hosted outside, but will this subdomain from forummotion allow an external icon.ico to be displayed in anyones browser icon spot?
If not it is not really a problem but would be nice if it could.

Oh, I am talking about a siteicon.ico or icon.ico,....but that is wrong.
I remembered something from the past (10 years ago or something like that) but didn't know the exact name.
It is called a favicon.ico, see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Favicon .(I think you knew that already Quakr)
Anyway again, if it can be done,....nice.
If not,....no worries.

Well from what I am reading not all browsers support it anyway, the same with some Web hosts. It sounds like it would be too impractical to implement even if it were possible. Though I would still love to see animated graphix on our pages.
